Rowing is one of the few non-weight bearing sports that exercises all the major muscle groups. The sport also improves cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.

Rowing is a low impact activity with movement only in defined ranges, so twist and sprain injuries are rare. Rowing is one of the oldest Olympic sports.

Youth and Adult


Rowing is accessible to most, from youth starting at age 12 (approximately grade 7) to adults aged 80+. Rowers team up to form crews with similar goals, whether that is to row recreationally or to train for regattas. Coaches  tailor instruction and feedback to individuals and crews. Our youth and adult members row together, but as more youth members join they may require their own rowing time.

Rowing is a sport in which most participants can be successful. Coaching and tips are available for all experience levels and abilities.


Our aim is to build a community and we want you to be comfortable at the club, no matter your skill level. Everyone is welcome!
