LEARN TO ROW

Rowing is one of the few non-weight bearing sports that exercises all the major muscle groups. The sport also improves cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.

Rowing is a low impact activity with movement only in defined ranges, so twist and sprain injuries are rare. Rowing is one of the oldest Olympic sports.

Rowing in Kelowna

Rowing on Okanagan Lake is unforgettable. Fresh air and silence, the only sound that of the blades dipping into the water, and the power of a full stroke transport you into a world of your own. Grace and power: the epitome of rowing.

Youth and Adult

Rowing is accessible to most, from youth starting at age 12 (approximately grade 7) to adults aged 80+. Rowers team up to form crews with similar goals, whether that is to row recreationally or to train for regattas. Coaches  tailor instruction and feedback to individuals and crews. Our youth and adult members row together, but as more youth members join they may require their own rowing time.
