Regattas are day-long or weekend-long opportunities to race against and socialize with other crews from all over BC, Canada and the Pacific Northwest.

There is a wide variety of regattas available to choose from. Sprint Races of 1000 or 2000 meters are held in the spring and summer. Longer-distance Head Races are held in the fall.

For more information on upcoming regattas or how to participate, just ask the coach.

Equipment

KRC owns recreational and competitive single, double and quad sculling shells. Recreational shells are more stable and allow rowers to master skills with confidence. Each rower must wear a PFD (provided by the club or your own) while rowing. Our shells and oars are stored on racks in our locked compound. We can choose to wet-launch at the West Kelowna Boat Launch or launch from the floating dock adjacent to the club.
